Charging at home is the simplest and most popular way to charge an electric vehicle. In addition, Government grants are now available making it even more affordable to have your own charge point at home.

How Long Does EV Charger Installation Take?

An electric car charger installation typically takes just a few hours. Often the EV charger installation company will have assessed and established a suitable location for the chargepoint, and then decide with you on an appropriate cable run.

How Long Does A Charge Take?

A slow charge rate of a completely depleted battery (under 3 kW) using a 3pin plug will take 6-8 hours to fully charge. This can be longer for models with larger batteries.

A more efficient and preferable method is to have a fast charge charge point installed. These offer a charge time of 3-4hours for a fully depleted battery using a 7 kW charge point.

Have you ordered an electric car that is due to arrive in the next 4 months? Or do you already have possession of an electric car?
Did you purchase your electric vehicle after the 1st October 2016?
Do you intend to keep the vehicle for 6 months or longer from the date you of ownership?
Do you have private off-street parking where we can install your chargepoint without running the cable across a public footpath?
